Believe it or not, Misty is even prettier in "purrson". She has gorgeous long chocolate tabby fur, beautiful ruff, and luminous green eyes. This little beauty got her name from a case of MISTaken identity. When she appeared on the St. Francis property, one of the volunteers was sure she belonged to one of the neighbors--said he'd met the cat at the neighbors' house. Since the neighbor's cat was a neutered male--and who could tell, with all that fur?--licensed and microchipped, we thought Misty was just visiting. Then we began to see her every day, at all hours of the day. Then she followed one of the dogs home from a walk, and sat at the door. We called the neighbors. Their cat was in their kitchen. OOOPS! Off Miss Misty went to the veterinarians, where she checked out negative for all the bad stuff and got all the good stuff: worming, flea treatment, vaccinations and a microchip. When we shaved her tummy to spay her, we discovered she'd already been spayed. Misty doesn't mind other cats, but isn't crazy about them; it's dogs she really likes. She's extremely affectionate and purrs as soon as you scratch behind her ears. Give her a chance at a home and she'll purr all the time. Misty is also posted with O'Malley Alley Cats.
